Northwest Golf Course to serve as Potential Green Space & Help Reduce Flooding

The Near Northwest Management District is gearing up for yet another positive change. Mayor Sylvester Turner has announced the formation of 10 connected storm water basins to be placed in the old Inwood Golf Course green space. This change is expected to reduce the flooding that has displaced Inwood residents over the years and will hold 350 million gallons of storm water.

NNMD’s President, Wayne Norden is overjoyed with the news! “We would like to thank Mayor Turner for his leadership and efforts in making this a reality for our community.”
