Green spaces create beauty and bring life to communities. Growing and revitalizing our communities is very important and great value is placed on the expansion and maintenance of local green spaces to protect and highlight natural ecosystems. These systems contribute to the sustainability of clear air and water and provides health and safety benefits to people and wildlife. Enhancing our greenspaces is also identified as a priority for our area. We continue to work with park maintenance, pursue the completion of the bike trails, support local efforts to grow gardens and work to make the White Oak Conference Center property a greenspace for all area residents and their families.

Having healthy green spaces to accent the District inspires people and gives a sense of responsibility to preserve the environment. Our parks and open green spaces play a large role in enhancing gentrification and are a community necessity to retain families and businesses.
